She led a successful consultancy career with an Investment Bank in London for seven years before running her own business. Having undergone extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western biomedical sciences, she promotes an integrated approach to healthcare and works alongside medical professionals in her London acupuncture clinics. As a registered Member of the British Acupuncture Council, the professional body maintaining standards of education, ethics, safe practice and discipline in acupuncture, she is fully insured. Charlotte Steed develops fertility acupuncture programmes to support male infertility, unexplained infertility, IVF assistance, PCOS, fibroids, uterine cysts, endometriosis, High FSH, blocked fallopian tubes, luteal phase defect, menstrual irregularities, the menopause, and general health conditions such as back pain, sports injuries, insomnia, depression and for stress management. She works closely with midwives and promotes the use of acupuncture for morning sickness, heartburn, pelvic pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, breech presentation, and labour induction. As a Fertility and Obstetrics Acupuncturist, Charlotte Steed has undergone specialist fertility acupuncture and obstetrics acupuncture training at the Royal College of Physicians and with Zita West in London.
